Audio in with iphone?

Hello you guys are more than helpful and was curious to know if there was a way to record a video on my iPhone with the audio going directly in instead of using the mic. Op1>audio out>?>iphone. Any suggestions?

oh and you will only record mono.

Assuming the iPhone has a Dock connector. Or you use the $30 adapter Apple sells…

I have a 4S and got the Line6 Mobile In very cheap (10€) from the german shop Thomann. It has a stereo 3.5" jack input and works without any problems with the standard camera app. I made this video using the iPhone only, standard camera app, audio recorded through Mobile In, video editing with iMovie app: http://youtu.be/3XjoX2Rcqk0
