Tape Sync Question

Hi all
I’m using the OP1 as a slave device connected to my roland tr 505 via a kention usb-midi interface box.
When I press play on the tr 505 the tape starts on the op1 fine.
Is it possible to move between different tape sections and loop them whilst the op1 is syncd to the master ?
Basically I am doing a live performance and want to use different tape loops on the op1 but cannot stop the tr 505 while it’s playing.
Thanks.

i can’t see how the 505 would be able to send any midi signal that would move between different tape sections.
does anyone know if a more sophisticated midi sequencer, like on an mpc or mv or even a DAW, could move between loops?

so that leaves the OP1 as a source for making the changes…can you move between loops (using shift arrow) when it is in slave mode?

Hi Squiddly thanks for the reply.
No I wasn’t able to move between loops in slave mode unfortunately.
I think I’ll need to use the Op1 as the master as you suggest.

what if you deactivate the loop then try to move it? then reactivate?

I think you can’t use shift + <> when loop is inactive

ah okay just thinking off the top of my head
maybe not ideal u could use the green knob to move the start and end points along the old fashioned way?

prolly op1 as master is better if it lets u jump around
