Raspberry Pi = USB host

I am a bit behind with Raspberry Pi stuff, got one a few weeks back to use as media hub for the kids but tonight I needed a USB host so dived into the Linux Terminal and set this up. Really easy - using the link below:

Now my Digitakt and OP1 are the best of friends with not a MIDI cable in sight (DT > Pi > OP1 via USB)

i was inspired by the post to buy a raspberry pi to use as a usb/midi host and connect my OP-1 to my Roland MV8000.
but it lloks like the reaspberry pi needs a usb keyboard and a monitor that takes HDMI in. my Mac computer only has a bluetooth keyboard and only outputs HDMI, no input…damn.

@awesome_o : put an SSH-enabled OS image on a Model B. or prepare one for a Model A on another B. good luck!

Is that a rasp Pi 3?

I also have a digitakt and op1 and would be great to get them midi synced

Yes, I use Raspi3.

thanks for that! that'll make it headless and then i'll be ready to go.
i still might grab an hdmi monitor and keyboard -- people dump flatscreen tvs and monitors on the streets around here.

Great job!

Any observable latency ?

Any observable latency ?

None that I’ve noticed.
